CEO Sleepout Reading 2025
Alexandra Simpson
My Story
I'm joining compassionate people from across Reading for an unforgettable night beneath the stars. I will be sleeping out at Abbey Ruins, raising funds for people facing adverse poverty and homelessness in the Reading area.
I am taking part in the CEO Sleepout because homelessness directly affects many of the people BWA supports. Domestic abuse often forces individuals into insecure and unsafe accommodation, leaving them vulnerable and, in some cases, with nowhere to live. While street homelessness is visible, many more people experience hidden homelessness: staying in temporary housing, sofa-surfing, or living in unsafe conditions.
By sleeping out for a night, I hope to raise awareness of these key issues and stand in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness and housing issues in our town. I encourage other CEOs to join us in highlighting this crucial cause and making a difference together.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in supporting me with this activity - it really will make a huge difference.
