My Story

Homelessness is something that many of us witness but rarely discuss.

We live in a world where some people have so many properties, live in so much confort to burst radiators, while others have no place to sleep but the sidewalk, hoping to find safety in the coldest darkness. It’s a brutal reminder of the inequality that plagues us.

Many see homelessness as a choice, a consequence of poor decisions, laziness, or lack of effort. Few realize that homelessness can result from countless factors beyond individual control—loss of a job, sudden illness, mental health struggles, or the sheer cost of living.

As Mother Teresa once said, 'The poverty of being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for, is the greatest poverty.'

To raise awareness and funds to support charity associations, I chose to participate in the CEO Sleepout, spending a night in the cold this November to experience, in a small way, what many homeless individuals endure every day.
