My Story

I grew up in Garthdee, where I was lucky enough to have a tight group of friends. As kids, our lives looked pretty similar, same streets, same schools, same bad hair cuts. But life doesn’t hand everyone the same set of cards, and over the years I’ve watched a few of those friends end up on the streets or worse. Different paths, different turns of luck, and very different outcomes. It’s a reminder that homelessness isn’t something that happens to “other” people, it can be much closer to home than we like to think.

So when I sleep out at Pittodrie for the CEO Sleep Out, I’m not pretending I’ll understand what it’s like to face homelessness. In fact the way the Dons have played there this season, it's likely it won’t even be my most uncomfortable night there.

This is simply my small way of showing solidarity and helping shine a light on the incredible charities who do the real, hard work every single day.

If you’d like to join me, please sign up or if you’d rather just donate, please use my link below. Every bit of support helps organisations that offer dignity, support, and hope to people who really need it.

Thank you, it genuinely means a lot.
