My Story

I am not a CEO despite the title of this initiative! But I'm joining compassionate people from across Reading for an unforgettable night beneath the stars. I will be sleeping out at Abbey Ruins, raising funds for people facing adverse poverty and homelessness in the Reading area. I'm a passionate advocate for the work that Launchpad, No.5, Cowshed, Readifood and other local charities do to help those who need it.

I'm doing this because being homeless isn't a choice. Some people just need help out of a difficult situation. My mum showed me this from an early age when we helped at homeless shelters. Through simple gestures such as giving someone a blanket, having a conversation and holding out the hand of kindness, these can be the steps back to trust and self-repair that some people just need.
