My Story

Hey everyone, My name is Maz and I am a Project Co-ordinator at Help Bristol's Homeless. I will be sleeping out in Gloucestershire Cricket Ground, raising funds for people facing adverse poverty and homelessness in the Bristol area. An issue that is very dear to my heart.

Please donate if you can. This is just one night for me but this is the reality for so many people street homeless in Bristol. The homelessness crisis in Bristol keeps rising due to the cost of living crisis and lack of affordable housing in our City as well as many other factors. Since 2020, Bristol has seen a 25% increase in households approaching the council due to homelessness. 

I am raising funds for Help Bristol's Homeless, we convert shipping containers into homes for the homeless and currently have 33 micro flats on our site on Spring St, Bedminster. We also have a wellbeing programme attached to the project, and I take care of our resident's appointments and help them get back on their feet. All money raised will help us continue the work we do.

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder the work we do is vital.
