My Story

I'm joining people from across Nottingham for a night set aside to fundraise, understand more deeply about home insecurity/ homelessness and to hear personal experiences.

I will be sleeping out in Meadow Lane Stadium, raising funds for people facing adverse poverty and homelessness in the Nottingham area.

Grace Enterprises is one of the charities being supported this year and I'm really pleased to have the opportunity to represent our team and employees.

Grace Enterprises is a growing network of social enterprises that exists to reduce long-term unemployment and poverty in Nottingham and beyond. We create sustainable, dignifying jobs that pay the real Living Wage, and provide holistic employee support and mentoring for those with major barriers to work.

We do this through our three social enterprises: Radiant Cleaners (commercial cleaning), Jubilee Events (marquee hire) and Half the Story (great tasting biscuits).

One of our employees shared their experience: “There's foodbanks, there’s charities that do this, that and the other… But that is doing things for you. Whereas this job is enabling you to do things for yourself.”

This event will raise vital funds to provide supportive employment, ensuring that we can create sustainable life-changing jobs for those who need it most.
