CEO Sleepout Aberdeen 2026

My Story

On the 16th of April, I will be swapping my warm bed for a sleeping bag at Pittodrie Stadium as part of the CEO Sleepout.

Now doing this anywhere would be challenging, but doing it in Aberdeen is character building. For those unfamiliar with our local climate, Aberdeen doesn't really do weather, it does "conditions." Sideways rain, atmospheric moodiness and the kind of wind that makes you question your life insurance.

Now for those who know me, you'll understand this is already a stretch for me spending an evening at a football stadium.

But here's the serious bit.

The CEO sleepout isn't about me being uncomfortable for a night. It's about raising awareness and the vital funds for people in our community who don't have the luxury of choosing when or where they sleep. One night for me is a challenge. For many, its reality.

I also have a personal target. I'm detemined to beat the previous fundraising effort form Port of Aberdeen's current CEO. No pressure...but I refuse to let that record stand. Competitive spirit is clearly stronger than my love of football.

So I'm asking for your support.

If you can donate, even a small amount, it will make a big difference.

If you can't, please share.

And if you'd simply like to picture me trying to get comfortable on the cold concrete of Pittodrie...that's worth a few pounds on its own.

Thank you for helping turn one uncomfortable night into meanigful change for someone who needs it.
